TECHNOLOGICAL INFLUENCES

-This is a small mind map of all the different areas that have changed in the media industry and will forever evolve to become something bigger and better.

-The biggest changes for me personally would have to be the streaming devices as, before Netflix or Amazon Prime television was the prime source for entertainment but, due to change Tv is very quickly being left in the past. Even though it is still at the top for streaming these other platforms are very quickly catching up.

In saying this the media industry is constantly progressing and will always continue to in the future. A good example of this personally for me is cameras as, we now have the capability to film in up to 8k resolution and 120 fps using cameras like the Sony A1 or a Canon EOS R5.

The progression in cameras since they were first invented is huge, the first camera to be created was named 'Kinetograph' it used 35mm film with a 1.33.1 picture ratio that is surprisingly still used in todays films. It was created by someone that worked under Thomas Edison but, Edison later took the credit for himself.

The device shot in 40 frames per second and was extremely heavy and hard to carry around unlike the handheld cameras we have today.

It also took a very long time to setup, also the opposite to the luxury we have today where we can just point and shoot.
